London Hotel Rooms

Hotels in London offer similar room types from one person upwards. These rooms types are explained below;

Single Rooms:
This room type is to accommodate one person comfortably. Usually having a single bed, some taller guests prefer double rooms to have a larger bed.
Double Rooms:
Double Rooms have standard double beds in for two persons. More luxury hotels offer queen and king sized beds, with king sized beds at the top of the scale in some 4+ and 5 star hotels.
Twin Rooms:
These rooms have 2 separate beds in, one for each person, and are ideal for families, friends or work colleagues, who wish to share a room, but have different beds.
Triple Rooms:
Triple rooms are to accommodate 3 persons. They are larger rooms, usually equipped with a double bed and a single bed. 3 single beds are available at a small number of hotels including the Royal National Hotel.
Quad Rooms:
Rooms for 4 persons are more commonly called Quad rooms, although a small minority of hotels call them family rooms. Larger and more spacious, they can accommodate up to four. Usually the layout is a double bed and 2 single beds, however some more luxurious hotels (4+ and 5 star) will offer 2 double beds. Some Holiday Inn hotels offer a double bed and a double sofa bed.
Family Rooms:
These rooms are to accommodate 5 persons (with a few execptions such as the City or Abba Queens Gate Hotels). The rooms are usually much larger, and offer either 2 double beds and a single bed, or 1 double bed and 3 single beds. This room type is becoming very rare in central London, and over public holidays and Summer months can be booked up very quickly.
Basic Rooms:
Basic rooms offer an economical price to stay in the city centre. These rooms however, would have a shared bathroom. Most hotels do not share a bathroom between more than four guest rooms. The room itself is the same standard as the other guest rooms with similar facilities.
Ensuite Rooms:
Ensuite means Private Bathroom.
Opening Windows:
All hotels offer opening windows. Whilst on some high floors windows may not open all of the way to allow you to sit in them, they can be opened. None of the hotels on Hotelslondon.co.uk offer rooms with no windows.
Children:
Many hotels offer child policies for your stay, however most apply these to infants (0-2 year olds). Should a hotel have a particular policy it will be shown on its webpage for you. We do not recommend to book a double room for a family of 3 or 4, as hotel safety regulations may mean that you have have to upgrade your room on arrival, or worse if not available, search for a new hotel!
