Bond Street Tube Station
Bond Street underground station is a Zone 1 tube station located on Oxford Street around 10 minutes walk to the west from Oxford Circus tube station, just after the intersection of New Bond Street and Oxford Street. The station is serviced by the Central line (red) between Oxford Circus and Marble Arch stations and the Jubilee line (grey) between Green Park and Baker Street stations with the entrance to the station located inside a shopping arcade.
If you want to be seen and designer shopping is your fancy then you should definitely get out at Bond Street Station as the station gives you access to the posh, stylish and moneyed district of Mayfair. Bond Street itself is split in two with the southern end beginning at Piccadilly named Old Bond Street and the northern end is named New Bond Street which ends just after the intersection of Oxford Street. Not only is the street home to some of the flashiest designer shops in London boasting labels and flagship stores such as Versace, Prada, Chanel, Miu Miu, Gucci, Tiffany & Co. and Cartier, it is also renowned for housing several auction houses including Sotheby's and Bonhams with Christie's on nearby King Street. You also of course have all the High Street shopping of Oxford Street on the Bond Street station's doorstep as well as Selfridge's department store and Marks & Spencer across the road to the left and Marble Arch and Hyde Park are a short walk away at the very western end of Oxford Street.
Grosvenor Square (to the south east of the station) and Berkeley Square (to the south) are 2 public urban spaces in Mayfair that are lovely for strolling through and resting in after some serious shopping and as for entertainment the options are plentiful, however, The Camel on Duke Street (next to Selfridge's) is a great cocktail bar with excellent service and for a very special dining experience head to the beautiful art deco hotel Claridges where you can enjoy the cooking talents and tastes of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey in one of London's most elegant restaurants.
Marylebone is to the north, Shepherd Market, Green Park and Buckingham Palace are to the south, Hyde Park and Marble Arch to the west and Soho is to the east.
